Who: It is a perfect day for the family! Anyone is welcomed to join in the competition. There are five different race categories and classes for all ages. Participants in the Canoe and Kayak racing must be at least 9-years old.

Those who choose not to compete are invited to enjoy the in other fun festivities at the park! There will be live entertainment, various styles of food, craft and entertainment booths, children’s games and so much more!

What: The 3rd Annual Red Bluff Great National Canoe Drag Races are coming with Brilliant Competition and unparalleled Sport Excitement with great deal of fun for the entire family. Canoe racing is a nationwide sport that features America's traditional watercraft, the canoe, with all of its rich and diverse history. Not only is canoe racing quite exciting but also the atmosphere it creates is very productive for human interaction. Join us in the excitement of Canoe Drag Racing!

When: May 15 & 16, 2009 - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

-8:00 AM - Sign ups and registration (Red Bluff River Park)
-10:00 AM - Short races (200M)
-12:00 PM - 10K
-4:00 PM - Awards ceremonies

Where: Red Bluff River Park

Why: This event is significant and viable fund raising effort to benefit the Sacramento River Discovery Center. The Sacrament River Discover Center (SRDC) is located in the Red Bluff Recreation Area administered by the Mendocino National Forest. The SRDC is dedicated to a healthy Sacramento River watershed that provides an abundant supply of clean water for future generations. Its mission is hands on educational programming to enhance the public understanding of resources that make up the Sacramento River watershed. The Sacramento River Discovery Center is about people working together to make the world a better place. It is by these concepts that we are proud to bring the first annual Red Bluff Great National Canoe Drag Race.
